Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. Ramadan is observed the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025 through Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Dining During Ramadan: Where and When to Find Halal Meals
- The Bear’s Den will be open for dinner during All-You-Care-To-Eat from 5 – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Spice Market at The Bear’s Den will be open on Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 5 – 9 p.m.
- Paws & Go will be open until 12 a.m. daily.
- Showcase and Spice Market at The Bear’s Den will have packaged meals available for reheating 7 days per week.
- Millbrook Market will be extending their hours until 12 a.m. for Ramadan. We will have packaged, reheatable meals available.
- The DUC: Simply Made Bowl will be open Monday-Friday until 7 p.m.
Additional food items will be added to Millbrook Market, Paws & Go, and in the Bear’s Den during Ramadan:
- Signage will be placed in the Markets that clearly identifies what packaged items are Halal.
- The Markets will be stocked with Mango Juice, Fairlife milk, Naked juice, and fruit for students to purchase throughout Ramadan.
- Frozen meals like Saffron Roads and Spring Valley will be available for purchase.
Special Features
- Student favorite recipes will be featured throughout Ramadan at two stations at The Bear’s Den: Spice Market and Showcase
- As a apart of our weekly Food Truck series, a Halal Food Truck will be available on March 20 & March 27.
