About Our Nutrition Team
At WashU, we’re lucky to have a dedicated Nutrition team on campus! The WashU Nutrition Team inspires fresh, healthy, diverse, and well-balanced menus across campus to meet a wide variety of needs and preferences. Our team helps plan menus with our culinary team, ensuring dietary accommodations and bringing the latest food and nutrition trends to campus. Our team also provides nutrition counseling to WashU students, free of charge!
We’re here to support you—whether you need help navigating a food allergy, finding meals that fit your lifestyle, or just want to learn more about how to fuel your body effectively.

What’s New This Year?
This year, WashU Dining has rolled out a variety of new menu concepts designed to keep your taste buds entertained and your body fueled. From globally inspired dishes to comfort food classics, there’s something for everyone.
Allergy Friendly Options: Inclusivity is key in our dining program. Simple Servings is our station made without the top nine food allergens and is available in the Bear’s Den, DUC, and the Village. These meals rotate each week and offer a well-balanced meal that includes a simply prepared protein, vegetable, and starch.
Global Flavors: Our new globally inspired stations, Kalamata and Spice Market, are here to take your taste buds on a trip around the world. Both Kalamata and Spice Market offer Halal meals and Mediterranean and Indian flavors, respectively. Find Kalamata at the DUC and Spice Market at The Bear’s Den and The Village.
Plant-Based Goodness: Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just looking to eat more plant-based meals, we’ve got you covered. Our vegetarian and vegan options are not just nutritious but also packed with flavor. Think beyond salads—how about a hearty plant-based burger from the Bistro Grille or a satisfying falafel bowl from Kalamata in the DUC?
