The Bear Balance Movement
What is it?
The Bear Balance movement is a Washington University specific program designed to improve the quality and availability of nutrient rich foods around campus for our students, faculty, and staff.
Bear Balance focuses on the overall prevention of chronic disease (including, but not limited to diabetes and heart disease) and promotes evidence based nutrition practices without sacrificing quality, flavor, and recipe integrity.
Bear Balance dishes are designed to be equally nutritious AND delicious with a focus on nutrients that provide fullness & satisfaction as well as sustained energy throughout the day.
Our Bear Balance recipes include whole grains, lean animal or plant based protein, vegetables, fruits, and heart healthy fats.
Where Can I Find It?
