Menu items are marked with a (VGN) if they are completely free of animal products. Foods marked with a (V) are vegetarian but may still contain eggs or dairy products. If you have a question about an item that is not marked, and the ingredient list is missing or unclear, just drop us a note.
How can I learn the amount of fat in a food served in Center Court?
Nutrition information is available for foods served in five locations on campus; Center Court, The Village, Bear's Den, Holmes Lounge, and Mallinckrodt Food Court. The information is displayed like a food label, showing the nutrition information and the list of ingredients. For more information see Menu Nutrition Information.
Which is healthiest to snack on pretzels or cereal?
Snacks provide a good way to get all the nutrition you need and can be a good between meal pick-me-up; the key is keeping portions moderate. When it comes to which food is best, the answer really is no one food is the "right answer". It's how the food fits into the whole day's nutrition. Whole grain cereals offer more nutrition than pretzels, but pretzels can fit into a healthy eating plan. Decide your snacks by taste, portion and overall nutrition.
I have lactose intolerance; can I get lactose free milk?
Food allergies and intolerances are more and more common and Dining Services works hard to provide a variety of foods to make healthy eating easier. Lactose free milk is available in both of the markets on campus. Soymilk, which is lactose free, is available in Center Court, Hilltop Bakery, and the two markets.
