Balancing Nutrition Program

"Balancing Nutrition" is an online menu system that helps with the following.

  • List of menus for the next week
  • Nutrition information for menu items
  • Allows for meal planning and nutrition review
  • Helps you learn how to eat healthy
  • Puts the control of what's right for you in your hands

Access the menus at menus.wustl.edu and choose a location. Click on the apples to proceed.

WHY WOULD YOU USE "BALANCING NUTRITION"?

"Balancing Nutrition" provides the nutrition information for many of the items served on campus. With this information you can choose foods that meet your nutritional needs whether they are for items that are -

  • Lower in fat or sodium
  • A certain calorie level
  • Provide more calcium or other nutrients

The recipes in "Balancing Nutrition" are calculated for single serving portions, but you can increase the servings if you choose.

"Balancing Nutrition" allows you to see what you are doing and it allows you to print out a report of what you've consumed. Printing out reports lets you keep track of how you do over time - the real key to healthy eating. Keeping track of what you eat is also a good idea if you want to set-up an individual nutrition appointment in Student Health. Keeping track is as simple as hitting "report".
