Corner 17 at Whispers Café

Corner 17 represents a family’s comeback story. After facing setbacks with a previous restaurant, the family embraced the American dream, working hard to build a better future. Growing up in poverty in rural China, the Corner 17 siblings learned the value of perseverance and sacrifice.

The name “Corner 17” is symbolic, representing the age owner Xin Wei arrived in America. Corner 17, more than just a restaurant, is a platform for the family to share their most cherished family recipes and cultural heritage with the people of St. Louis.

Located in Olin Library, Corner 17 at Whispers serves a full coffee menu from Clipper’s Coffee, a variety of Boba Tea, pastries, desserts, breakfast items, and grab & go meals.
